Basic Information
Chemical properties: Colorless needle shaped or oblique columnar crystals or white or off white crystalline solids, odorless, bitter and salty in taste, with weathering properties. It is prone to weathering into powder in dry air, losing four molecules of crystal water at 80 ℃ and all crystal water to become anhydrous at around 200 ℃. Easy to dissolve in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerol. PH 5-8 (50g/L, H2O, 25 ℃). Density ρ (20) 1.68g/mL.
Usage: Used for precipitating lead in analysis; Matchmaker.
