Basic Information
Chemical properties: Colorless or white light oily viscous liquid with a faint odor. A special mineral oil product obtained by ultra deep refining to remove impurities such as aromatics, sulfur, and nitrogen, generally composed of alkanes and cycloalkanes with molecular weights of 300-400. Insoluble in water, it presents a stable lotion when encountering water. Dissolve in ether, chloroform, petroleum spirits, lignin, carbon disulfide, glycerol, and oils. Boiling point>315 ℃/760mmHg. Density ρ (20) 0.6-0.9g/mL. Refractive index n20/D1.467. Specific rotation [α] 20/D+1.2 º (neat). Flash point>233.6 ℉/>112 ℃.
